Could anything be done to hold back mankind's capacity for atrocity?
The post war generation needed something to believe in, they placed their faith in the United Nations.
The UN put forward a declaration that every human should expect.
In the world somewhere, someone is being imprisoned, tortured or executed because his opinions or religion are unacceptable to his government. The feelings of disgust all over the world could be united into common action, something effective could be done.
Ordinary people would unite, collective disgust would release prisoners of conscious.
I may hate your opinions, but I would defend to the last, your right to express those opinions, as long as it was peaceful.
Would you like to like in a world without rights?
